TRT Axial Flow Rotor Blades improve energy recovery efficiency in industrial gas turbine systems
The TRT Axial Flow Rotor Blades are widely applied in steelmaking and industrial energy recovery systems. Their primary use is in Blast Furnace Top Gas Recovery Turbines (TRT) that convert high-pressure blast furnace gas (BFG) into electricity. These blades are particularly effective for large-scale furnaces, such as those exceeding 5000 m³, where high gas volume and temperature demand robust and efficient rotor designs.
In modern steel plants, the blades are installed in both dry and wet gas recovery units. For instance, Zhanjiang Steel’s No. 1 and No. 2 blast furnaces operate 33 MW dry gas recovery units using these rotor blades, achieving higher energy conversion efficiency and longer maintenance cycles compared to conventional designs.
Beyond steel, the blades can also be adapted for industrial turbines dealing with high-temperature, high-impurity exhaust gases in chemical, cement, and power generation industries. Adjustable blade profiles allow customization for different gas compositions, ensuring stable operation and maximum energy recovery even under challenging conditions.
Key Benefits in Industrial Applications:
- Efficient energy recovery from high-pressure gases
- Reduced erosion and maintenance costs
- Adaptable to extreme temperature and impurity conditions
